Does the recipient need anything?
No. That's the point. They receive a normal paper letter in their normal mailbox. You do everything from your phone.
Can something be mailed without my approval?
Never. Every letter shows you a full preview, and nothing prints or mails until you confirm. No surprise sends, no surprise charges.
Will the letter sound like me, or like a robot?
Like you. We shape your own dictated words — we never invent stories or add facts you didn't say. You always see the full letter and can edit any line before it's mailed.
How fast do letters arrive?
It depends where they live. In the US, four to six business days. In much of western Europe — Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Austria, Belgium, the UK — we print inside the country and letters usually arrive in two to five working days. Denmark and the rest of the Nordics are printed in Europe and flown: three to six working days to Denmark and Sweden, three to seven to Norway and Finland. Further afield it takes longer — Australia is twelve to eighteen working days. We show you the figure for your recipient before you send, not after.
Can you really send anywhere in the world?
Yes, and it's included in every plan. Being straight about what that means: in eleven countries we print locally and hand the letter to that country's own postal service, which is quick. Everywhere else it's printed in Europe and flown by courier — often still under a week, sometimes closer to three, depending on the country. Flown letters can't be tracked once they leave, so we tell you the expected window for that specific address before you commit.
Do I have to spread it out over days?
No. Plenty of people sit down once, talk for a few minutes about everything that's happened, and have the letter written that evening. Collecting notes over days is there because thoughts arrive that way — not because the letter needs them to. Both end up as the same letter.
What languages can letters be written in?
Dictate in the language you think in; the letter can be delivered in more than 30 languages, in a register that suits the reader — a 98-year-old in Kolding reads different Danish than a college kid in Aarhus.
What about photos?
Attach photos from your phone and they're printed in color right inside the letter — included in every plan.
How long can a letter be?
Up to three sheets, photos included — the sweet spot for a letter that gets read twice. Every plan, no page charges.
What if I skip a month?
Unused letters roll over for one month. Life happens — and a two-letter month after a quiet one is a lovely surprise.
